I had chronic pain (pins and needles) n my lower legs. I knew doctors would think it was all in my mind as they couldn't find a reason, so I told my local doctor I was a heroin addict and they put me on methadone which has gotten rid of the pain.

I am a chronic pain patient for many years. I was put on high doses of narcotics at John Hopkins pain center many years ago. I am living in Maryland near Frederick. I have had a fairly good quality of life since being put on this meds. But now I can not find a doctor that will maintain me on my meds! I am at a total lose and I am at a point in my life if I can not find someone to maintain me. Than I don't want to live a life full of the pain that I was in prior to my meds. This was the last resort to go on this meds because every doctor that I have gone to said there is nothing that will help me other than the narcotic's! Can you help me?????

I have been told that I have fibromialgia (not sure about spelling) I have a couple of questions. When I take a shower or am caught in rain it litterally hurts me, it feels like amillion knifes that are on fire hitting me all at once, also I have had people tell me that it is all in my head and that water doesnt hurt you. I have been placed on morphine and oxycodone but that doesnt seem to help the pain that I have. Is there anything that can get rid of this pain. I was recently told that by this time next year I will be in a wheel chair Im only 46 yrs old? Please help find some anwsers. Thank You

    Hi Emily,

My daughter was diagnosed with Bipolar 2, depression, and anxiety by a psychiatrist. She has been on medication a couple of years now and it has really helped. You definitely do not want to ignore your depression. Let your parents know how you are feeling. Never keep that you are depressed to yourself. Sometimes we as parents don't always pick up on the symptoms of depression and it needs to be brought to our attention. There is help for you.
